The Vesuvian area is characterized by volcanic, loose soils, very rich in minerals and well drained. The exposure is mainly to the south-east, with an altitude of 170 m. s.l.m. The planting density is about 2,500 vines / ha and the training systems are the radial and espalier with guyot pruning.
